PROFILEAbout the Band
SAMURAI METAL FROM JAPAN

Allegiance Reign is a metal band formed in 2016 under the banner of SAMURAI METAL.
Built around the spirit, pride, conflict, allegiance, and doomed beauty of warriors who lived through the Sengoku era, the band creates its own world by fusing heavy orchestration, melodic speed metal, folk elements, and Japanese melodies from shakuhachi, shamisen, and taiko.
On stage, the band wears armor and embodies SAMURAI METAL visually as well as musically. Rather than simple Japanese-style metal, Allegiance Reign expresses the Sengoku world through sound, story, and visuals.
CONCEPT
Allegiance Reign began from the idea of creating homegrown Viking metal: battle metal themed around Japan's Sengoku era.
Influenced by bands such as Turisas, Ensiferum, Alestorm, and Korpiklaani, the band aims to bring the scale of historical-drama openings and soundtracks into metal, presenting its own Japanese battle metal, SAMURAI METAL, to the world.
SOUND
The sound centers on heavy orchestration, grand development, and beautiful melodies in the spirit of symphonic metal such as Rhapsody, blended with folk-metal elements and Japanese instruments including shakuhachi, shamisen, and taiko.
By combining symphonic and folk metal with a distinctly Japanese sense of history and emotion, Allegiance Reign develops a SAMURAI METAL sound of its own.
HISTORY
Based in Tokyo, Allegiance Reign performs actively each year, including expeditions around Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka.
The band continues to host THE SENGOKU GREAT WAR series, and on April 11, 2026 will hold its SAMURAI METAL 10th Anniversary One-Man Kassen at Shinjuku WildSideTokyo.
The band has also performed overseas in Korea and actively connects with the international melodic and power metal scenes, including shows with overseas artists such as Korpiklaani.
